Hi I have a HPI Savage X 4.6 1/8th scale that I bought in 2008. I used it allot then it stopped working. I didn't have the time to fix it with school and I let it sit for probably 2 years. Any ideas as to what I should do to get it working. Im thinking just strip down the engine and transmission to see how bad it is after sitting for so long. Im thinking if the engine is shot - Can it be converted to electric with a kit?

Yes you can convert it to brushless. Check out www.towerhobbies.com and search out the Savage stuff. The HPI Savage Flux parts should bolt right up.
Best of all, you can do a little at a time as funds permit.

Yeah my name is just my gaming name lol... Anyway I took the motor out and it turned over like it was nothing. I guess dumping WD40 in the glow plug hole once a month or two did work to stop it from ceasing. Anyways converting it to brush less is way to much considering I can probably get it to work now.

I just have to figure out how to get it running again by setting all the needles back to stock and then working from there.
