Default Which .18

With all the new .18 motors available which would be the best choice to put in my racing maxx. I need speed and power. I basically need something that will hual down the straights and quick to accelerate

Fantom makes a kick ass .18, so does Epic, and O.S. And the Sirio is supposed to be good too.

I've good things about the Fantom and the new OS, but I only have experience with the Sirio's.
I have a .18 in my Maxx and just recently put one in my Rustler. They run VERY nice! I had a 24.7Maxx and sold it cause I liked my Sirio better. The big bore pipe is a must if you get one

The new fantom has mega speed and can match up with almost all .21 out on the market!!! For the xtm engine it has monsterous torq and will accelerate on a dime, it is also very cheap at only 89.99. Sadly i have never experienced the feal of the sirio engine i hear its very good

my regards

According to the new RCCA magazine, the O.S. .18CV-R out-powers them all, including the Fantom, Sirio, Epic....all of them!

Not nessecarely, yes the os is very powerful but it doesnt have as much power as the fantom. But again its jsut about what kind of power you like for example i prefer torque of rpm, its just your choice

In RCCA's testing, the O.S. out-accelerated (there's your torque) and had a higher top speed in the test vehicle than all other engines tested, including the Fantom. Just reporting the facts.

i like the OS, my LHS i work at stopped carrying fantom because they sent us engines with shavings in them then told us we were wrong...i'm sorry that doesn't say much for their customer support BUT i have see some fantoms run and i must say they aren't too bad i have 2 sirios (.27 PRO and the .23) and they tend to be real picky on their tuning not that i have a problem with that BUT some people just can't tune but they will argue all day that they can...the sirio runs AWESOME when it is right but as little as 1/4 turn (or sometimes less) and it is a pig...the OS has always been if you are within 1-2 turns of optimum it will at least run others sometimes will not start
