Hey everyone. No questions this time. Just thought I would share. Got my LST back from the LHS (had a broken front diff case and a bad one way bearing). Let me tell you this truck ROCKS!!!! Barely turns over and it's running. First thing I managed to do was wheel stand it over backwards! This thing has power to burn. Had a rough start when I first got it but that is over. All I have up graded is a reciever pack and a fail safe. Had too much brake, adjusted that down. Good now. Havn't broken anything else yet. Runs fantastic! Anyone have a LST out there? Be great to talk about it. About it I guess.

i also have one i think it runs great.i have found that the clutch springs break on these. i would recomend getting a new set of clutch springs either by mugen or kyosho. another thing i have found is that the losi wheel hexes are undersized like 13.85mm so when you get a chance get a set of aluminum ones other wise you can spin the wheel hexes inside the rims and that sucks cause then your rim is shot.

I bought the LST bout 2 weeks ago, been hammerin down on it since, trying to break the damn thing so I know how durable it is, and so far, no breaks! HOWEVER, I was hearing a crackling sound on hard accelerations, mainly on pavement, I thought although unlikely, it may be the rear diff. I took the rear diff out, and inspected the gears, everything checked out...what noises did your truck make when the hexs were slipping? has anyone else experienced this?

shat...lol...the only thing with that though, is that (well, at least it sure sounds like it) it's coming from the rear diff area...the only thing with that though, is that I pulled the whole diff assembly apart, and inspected it all...it all checked out...so thats what makes me wonder, I dont THINK it would be the hexs on the wheels, but I dont know...did yours sound like it was coming from the rear? and end up coming from the front diff? I feel like a dumba$$ asking all these questions, cuz I know all I have to do is pull all this stuff apart, and I could figure it out myself, but what else am I supposed to do with myself at work?? WORK?!

Mine did sound like the front of the truck. Actually the LHS found it. Losi paid for the repair. You may want to take a look at it just to be sure. Havn't had any wheel hex issues with mine yet. See how it goes.

ok, so I have the gear mesh set right, and for the life of me, I cant get the spur and pinion to mesh using the ENTIRE surface area of gears...is this normal? it just doesn't seem right to me...I would say that 2/3 of the gears are meshing...I havent done anything with the location of the motor or anything. I dont know if it came like this or what. (and when I say surface area, I mean from looking down on the truck "birds eye view" the gears arent perfectly aligned)

Just a silly question. I am a little confused. You say you can't get full gear mesh but you havn't moved the engine. How are you trying to get full gear mesh if you don't move the motor? Are the gears worn on one side or something? Seems they would mesh if the engine is straight and the gears arn't worn. Oh, I'm not trying to make you look bad or anything, just wondering what is going on with your gears ok?
