Default E Maxx Brushless Setup Help

Guys...I need some input. I just finished a complete upgrade of my E Maxx Brushless. This is a new Brushless, not an upgraded older version to clarify. i put all new upgrades from RPM Arms to Max Amps 2S Lipo's. At first the Stock Full Bore Shocks would not hold my truck up so i upgraded to a set of RC Raven Springs and also invested in a Integy Progressive Spring Set. I also upgraded the Differential as well. After i have gotten it out and run it, at first go it immediately shoots up into a stand and also doesn't have the top speed it use to have. Two Questions. 1. Do i need to make a gear change and bring the front end torque down? If i do, what gear ratio am i looking for? 2. What kind of shock set up am i looking for to keep it from standing up? Do i need soft stuff up front and stiff in the back or vice versa? I appreciate the help...i am not a newbie to RC, just a newbie to RC Auto...

#1) You want to gear it up on your pinion (more teeth) one at a time until you get the speeds you are looking for and it makes sense temp wise. If your not getting the top speeds you used to get, re-calibrate your ESC, check for any kind of binding in your drive line. Putting on new a-arms and shocks should have nothing to do with your top speeds, if it does it would be minute at best, nothing really noticable.

2) This could be a few reasons: You might need to adjust your slipper, softer rear springs will give you the squat it needs to dig in, if theres enough power (which there is) it's still going to lift the front end up easily. Did you change your shock oil and pistons to go with the new shocks that is compatable with this rig? If the oil is too light or the piston holes are too big for the WT oil in there, you will have a bouncy rear end.

+1 on the slipper adjustment, +2 on the shock setup, use preload to set ride height and soft springs to "dig in"
