I would cut an air hole and get a Nova Race Pro Cooling head or richen it up a bit. You shouldn't run it above 250

i got a tnx acouple moths ago man i love it i bash it around and the ony thing broke on it is a front bumber i ran it into a for sale sign outside of my house and acople spur gears tha bad thing is u cant adjust the mesh of the gears but all around its a good truck i got the tnx pro so it comes with the colling head proline powerstroke shocks and proline bowtie tires and rims the os .18 runs great lots of power and i would take a tnx over savage ne day but the savage is a better truck if yer gonna bash on it the tnx is better for racing but thats my opinion

Cut a hole in the body, that should bring temps down. At 280F, that's not the too bad, but it's getting up there. Shoot for 250F-260F and that's usually a good power-reliability range.

Default Stripped Spur Gear

I changed the screws that hold the tranny to 3mm machine screws. Also put a drop of CA on the screws when you replace them. This seemed to help my TNX as I haven't stripped a spur since.

I would use threadlocker on the engine mount screws over CA.

Default Spur Gear

Sorry that step was meant for the Tranny not the motor mount ! My Bad !! Replace the screws that hold the Tranny with 3mm machine screws and put a drop of CA on them. I find that the Tranny moves and this is what seems to be causing my spurs to strip. Sorry its been a long day !!!

That's cool, I did the same thing for my tranny screws. Tamiya also have made an 11mm thick spur gear as opposed to the 8mm stocker it's worth getting one of these in your truck too as it's definatley the weak point of the TNX.

If you tighten all your screws after each run you really shouldn't have too much of a problem. It's all in the maintanence.

I have an New Era chassis and it's adjustable. But I will probably need to keep an eye on it.
