E-maxx Issues.. 3906
#1
Hey
I just recently got a second hand E-maxx for my beginner friend. So I tried it out with the following:
- 2x 2s 5200 30C LiPo's
- stock EVX-1 ESC
- two E-savage GT550 motors..
- And a cheap 2.4Ghz set.
It runs fine, although everytime I try to do a wheelie (punch the throttle) it just lurches a few cm and won't go..and the only way to go forward is to ease the throttle..
Just wondering what the problem could be... I used to have an E-maxx too and it would do wheelies without a problem.. (Have tightened the slipper too)
Pls LMK if you have any input.
Thanks in advance.

either the motors are drawing too much ...
or and it sounds more like this,
the esc is damaged.
try swapping it out for an other one if you can.
traxass has good support for repairs if you send it in.
if it does the same after swapping out ... keep changing parts
could be the radio to! but start with esc
any loose or week connection could be failing when you try to open the throotle hard.
but most likely inside the esc that it is happening
let us know what you find.
sometimes it is the last thing that you think of that does not make sense it could be that ... but it is!

The lipos look good enough spec wise, that there shouldn't be prob with amp draw, so either it's a bad connection somewhere or the esc is having probs. Might try to re-program the esc to see if it helps.

Try tightening your slipper clutch down and check the pads on it and pressure plate , this could also be the issue ... Oh just saw you checked your slipper , maybe the pads or pressure plate are worn down , take a look...

not sure about the evx-1, but the evx-2 is known for cutting the power on freshly charged lipos and i experience this as well. ease on the throttle for the first 1-2 minutes and then you should be able to punch it from a stand still
