i love kits... but they can end up costing a grand easy!
i would rather build it my self anyways, and usually i take apart an rtr to be sure it's at tightened or not stripped, this also helps you identify bad parts when they get worn or just start fliing off! so show of hands now... lets all vote for the all time best rtr or kit with what motor is best for someone that wanted a hellfire . i do like the mugen mbx6-t rtr is it really worth it to get the kit? that has no motor, tires, etc...( stock crappy stuff) for someone that doesn't race, but goes on the track, and have dedicated bashing grounds/track at home. i have eight t 1.0 but find it leaves me wanting more! savage x brushless 6 cell lipo, yaaa now where talking power...but not turning. and a ofna violator .32 ... boring, heavy, nose in the dirt |
As far as a motor picco or novarossi is where it is at for nitro. .21 is all you need in the hellfire. The hellfire only comes err now they discontinued the ss.
Jammin jpx 21 is the motor I would choose. You can go cheeper if you want but that is a killer mill made by picco. |
yah for sure .21 would be enough. if made by the right guys.
my .32 is too torky, tends to pull the front of all the time under the first accecel and i find it has to be tuned rich to stay cool soo it doesn't ripp like a .28 even. i also have a 1/10 electric 4x4 buggie ,i find those things are soo fast and stuck to the track you get a sore neck from wipping your head back and forth to follow them. lol but i'm getting soo sick of batteries it's really killing the little fun electric has ( like watching a movie with-out the home theater and sub ) i guess that's why i was liking the ten-t, nitro, small, truggy, the rest is just bells and wistles and i am waiting for them to come out with a kit with a pull start. i guess it's like those first horse less carriages...??? at first some poeple didn't like the idea, just cause it was different! but it turned out soo good everybody was doing the same thing just to keep up! |

I am a Mugen dealer, so if your interested in a Mugen I may be able to hook you up with a Truggy/engine/pipe combo.... I am also a Novarossi, Picco dealer as well....... I also have modified Jammin .21's in stock for $300.00 , which include a hand fitted piston, so next to no breakin required..... I can put you together an amazing combo package that will put you at the very top of the performance scale...... I also sell M2C 4 shoe clutch systems.... |

no bonkers is for later, after i get bored of top of the performance scale. lol good plan though. do you think those diffs and shafts can take it? lets get more down to what we where talking about with the top of the performance scale. also i like to put my own screws in soo i would just need you to put all the right stuff in a box. i just got back from my lhs , and d8t seems to be what i can get parts for easier. now that i bring it up he seems to know more than when i was asking, but he just tries to sell me what he has. for some reason i just love that picco jlr .28 , maybe just because it's black. what pipe does that motor breath best threw?,... ( can you get it in black? ) lol don't care if the pipe is black , i prefer red trucks, so go figure. |

Thanks for all the uummmm feedback.:D
I found a muggy on a regional online classified site and snagged it up. $200 rtr, 2 bodies, stock and smaller wheels and tires, about a gallon on the 427, just gotta replace a cracked front bulkhead piece, replace a shock shaft, and replace one of the steering servos, (had one kickin around so no cost). Took it out Friday and I am in love with that 427, only wish it had a two speed in it. Thanks for the feedback it was helpful. |
hey your lucky to have found that muggy...
great deal too ! i always seem to get the deals that favor the other guy ! lol hey thanks for your post too. it seems to have been very informative for me as well! |
