Angry Okay now I have a Savage problem....Carb Slider sticking

Okay I have a Savage X with the 4.6 and the carb slider is sticking. I have never had a problem with Savages but for a few days now when I get ready to take it out I flip on the radio and receiver and I always do a throttle/brake test, well recently when I do this the throttle wont move. So I end up pulling the arm off and free up the slider by hand(and it does sometimes take some force). Now when I pull off the filter and look at the slider it looks good but there is a little groove running along the top and am unsure if that was there or is suppose to be there? What do you guys think I should do, I oiled the slider with ARO and it hasn't helped. Should I get a Hitec mg645 for that also? Do you think the carb could be screwed up to where I need a new one? This has me really frustrated almost to the point where I feel like running it over with my car....

Please help asap!

Thanks Aaron

Make sure carb bolt hasn't come loose and let carb rotate slightly. The servo pull needs to be straight to be efficient.

I'm still running nitros too, have several. I enjoy the difference.

Loosen it, use the other side without the groove.
A groove (cut) will more or less hinder the smoothness of it.

i had a savage 25 and sometimes after i land from a jump my linkage would stick for about 5 seconds. it would just idle. i tried to figure out the problem but never could. when i did a midtank build i mounted the servo by the engine and had to customize the linkage. after that i never had the problem again. well glad to see your problem is fixed

it is most commonly a combination of dirty slider that is slightly worn and linkage pulling off center causing it to bind

hope you understand what im thinking here haha never to good conveying my thoughts
