You will need the forward only conversion(FOC) and a motor mount. http://www.tdracingrc.com/

The 1717 on 6S should rip.

yes you can use the two speed got all I needed from finedesign rc,I went with the 2200kv mamba the mounts I used let me bolt the motor right in the excat same place the nitro went and bought an adapter for using the same two gears that mounted on the clucth bell housing,I have been using a 4s 14v pack and using an older hand held gps strapped to it top speed with stock gearing put down a sold 48 mph just get the biggest mha pack and at least 40c burst rate. just make sure all your bearings are good in your one way on the two speed setup the brushless puts out an imporessive amouunt of tourqe cant wait to step up voltage on mine good luck check mout finedesign's website I talked with a guy named mike very helpfull

A BL LST2/XXL is by far the best MT you can get in brushless form, its absolutely insane! I've driven with one in my BL FLM Emaxx with some ERBEs and a few other BL MT's, and it just hands down slaughtered in handling.

I used the FD conversion to start, i just upgraded to the td racing motor mount, td racing single speed hub, and td racing collet pinion adapter. IMHO td racing parts are the best by FAR, and there are a lot of people that agree with that statement. Your best bet is to go to lstforums.com to see what some people are using. I use the MMM 2200 KV, 4s 5000mAh lipo. I would buy the battery tray from FD.

hope this info helps
