E-Maxx Advice

You've all pretty much convinced me to go with the Mamba Monster Max and 2200kv motor... I'm still not sure about a few things though:
How many teeth should I have on the hardened pinion? I have 7-cell (side-by-side) batteries with TRX connectors, I'm guessing these will need to be connected in series? What connector does the mmm use for the battery?
Thanks again

The MMM esc comes bare, you add the connector you want, in your case a TRX connector to go with your batts. Yes, you want to run them in series. You'll also need a Castle link - MMM comes with auto lipo set to on and you need to disable it to run NiMh. You'll want the link anyway for fine tuning.
Castle is coming out with a field programming card "early this year" but I don't know then thats going to be.
I would use the same gearing as the Brushless version EMaxx is running. There is diff gearing based on the voltage that you're running - Here's the chart - they use 17/68 for NiMh -

Not sure if the E-Maxx runs mod-1 pitch gears or not but if so the Losi pinions are some of the best out. They are hardened and coated to make them quiter than the rest.

It would mean more connections, which I'm sure adds resistance. Not sure it would matter in the end though.
