Default Savage SS Shifting Problems

I recently received a Savage SS in a trade. I completely tore the truck down and cleaned it and re lubed the diffs. The only thing I did not take a part was the trans.

The problem that I am having is that when it goes to shift into 2nd it stalls out. If I old the throttle down as it shifts and keep the throttle down the motor just cuts out. If I let off the throttle just after it shifts it seems ok. It almost sounds like something in the trans is tight when it hits second. Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Was hoping i could get some suggestions before I went and tore apart the trans.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I assumed that you're hitting full throttle during the shifts...???
It'll need enough speed to shift to second gear...

> You might have a bad glow plug. Or your HSN was set too lean (Tuning) Richen it 1/8 or 2/8 counter clock wise.

Other Infos.
(In warm countries we used A5 or R5, some the coldest plugs. But if you're in a cold country or temperature is cold there, use a warmer plug instead.)

If the problem still there...

You might need to replaced the plastic gears in the transmission...
It might be some foreign matter like sand have gone in and damaged the gears inside, however they are cheap to replaced.
