I really like the looks of the revo so either the 3.3 or e revo

They are real nice trucks, but like said before the electric is probably the most beginner friendly. Problem is if you have a short budget it is much less affordable.

Figure for the nitro you need:
-truck
-battery for ez start
-glow plugs
-fuel
-who knows what else

for the brushless:
-truck
-two matching lipos
-lipo charger

the benefits for the brushless though is that you arent going to have to tune, break in, and then keep buying fuel, then eventually replacing the motor and glow plugs when they fowl or keep tuning some more. Just charge those two packs, throw it in, and enjoy a half an hour of play time. Clean her up while you charge the two packs again and then go have some more fun.

As you can tell Im a brushless lipo fanboy at this point. Havent owned a nitro in forever. Almost thought about buying a cheap 2wd nitro just for fun now and then but now Im on a kick for buying a savage flux.

I have about 850$ CAD right now to buy one.

If you did it right 850 USD you could just about afford all the stuff you need for the e revo brushless. I am not sure what that transfers over to in CAD though.

350. Hm. Here in the US they are 309. Dunno if he price jacked or if thats just your conversion rate. I would go for the bigger truck. The mini is really fun but you have to be into small scale rc. If your going in high grass Im not sure how well it will do considering how small it is but if you have some nice dirt areas it will haul ass. Those trucks are completely ready to go out of the box and are quick.

Yea I would be on grass most the time. 309 is about 344 cad

Nitro is cheaper to start out in but electric is cheaper in the long run.:nod:

I think ill just get the nitro one. It's a lot cheaper to start with I hate spending a lot at the start. Heard Traxxas has pretty good service and people on the forums seem pretty amazing so far so I'm sure if i need the help I could find out. And the Manual and DvD will help a lot ill just read/watch it before even touching the rc :).

Everyone seems so nice around here :) Can't wait to get into it :D. Just to clear this out does the 5308 come with a charger that will charge the 7.2v battery or will i need one? Been getting mixed answers from people. Thought I would ask here. Thanks

You will need to pickup a battery for your ez start wand( they only can use 6 cell packs so your limited to a 7.2v. i use a 7.2v 3000mah pack and a charger to charge your hump pack if you put one in your truck(highly recommend:nod:) or ez starter pack. you'll also need 8 AA's for the radio and 4 AA's for the battery pack in your truck(again i recommen replacing it with a hump pack). You will also need fuel, i HIGHLY recommen Cold Fusion if your able to get ahold of it:nod:. Believe me i bought the new 5308 and i had about......oh $1300 in it including the price of the truck. Traxxas customer service is thee best service out there .

HOLD UP! I was just looking at Traxxas' website they are coming out with a brand new revo 5309. It has the new features like the 5308 has but this one comes with 2.4gzh radio, ezstarter pack, reciever pack for your truck and a charger:cool: Take a look seey

Yea they didn't have to much to choose from I saw they had Sidewinder and there was a box beside it said "cold fuel" in a black marker but i ddnt take one out to see what it said on the lable.
