Default Which Monster?

I'm looking to buy a Monster Truck which of these 3 are the best for backyard bashing. 1 - Savage XL 5.9 2- AE MGT 8.0 3 - Losi XXL LST.
or something else if you know of a better one than these.

thanks

I have owned the MGT 4.6, and if the 8.0 is anything like it, it is an excellent basher and occasional racer.

However, for sheer durability, get the Savage.

you ever seen the shocks? or worked on both..? i have and hands down the losi will bash the sh!t out of the savage

change your wheels and your off to the track..

do your own research..

You're going to get several different answers here. They are all good trucks, and each have a following. I'd have to say that there are probably more Savage owners here than LST or MGT owners. Having alot out there is good for spare parts. There are ALOT of folks on eBay who part out new vehicles, and you can usually get spare parts considerably cheaper than buying packaged HPI parts. The Savage also has a TON of after market hopup parts available, probably more than the LST and the MGT combined. Although If you get a savage I'd be cautious not to be tempted to the dark side and start slapping aluminum parts all over it. They are horrible for bashing as they bend. The same goes for the LST and MGT as well. Aluminum looks pretty, but it's bad idea for a vehicle you will be bashing.

One thing to remember about the extra large versions of those monster trucks is that while they are more stable, they are less nimble. Even with the larger engines, don't expect any of those vehicles to pop wheelies like their littler brothers.

i'd the savage... i got alum arms, shock towers, steering blocks and c hubs and i've never had any problems.. some people prefer plastic a-arms over aluminum because they do a little more give, but i prefer aluminum..

I have a LST2 and I still say the Salvage is for bashing. The salvage sucks racing and there is no other need for it but bashing.

Savage, but don't get anything alloy, especially not a metal roll cage.

Those are all nice trucks that you mentioned, but for toughness and aftermarket it's the Savage all the way.
