big block = break more parts and use more gas

Get a OS .18 or trade in the stock motor for a new one for $100.

since you gonna only be bashing
you might as well get another 3.3
if you looking for a little more power
go with the 18tm or 18tz...although the 18tm is a drop in
the 21tm should be fine also...isn't it a drop in fit?
if you go with the tz, be prepared to spend a little more time
for fit and function

i like the power of a BB cuz i have a savage x 4.6 that i love, but i dont want pay the 250 or more if its not going to be worth it for the 21tm which from what i hear is a direct drop in, i want a better running engine this that 3.3 and i want it to hold its tune good which from experience and word of mouth that os motors are good for

dont wast your money on the .21. It has about the same power as the .18tm but tons more $$.

i run an 18tz in mine
quite a bit more power then the 3.3
i did the tz breakin in the revo before i had a center diff in
and it was doing wheelies
after i was done breakin and had it tuned
the wheelies were just plain annoying

you haven't specified if you're running the forward only conversion either

as for the bb in a savage
it is considerably heavier then the revo
i have a mgt 8.0 i use to introduce people into rc
it has great power and speed
but i don't think an 18 would be practical in the mgt
well at least i don't think the fun factor would be there that's for sure

You can always gear out the wheelies and change the shift point to shift faster and it will scream down the street like its a** is on fire.Your stock tranny will be fine i have 3.3 spec tranny on my maxx. You will over time have to get cvd's all the way around.Don't let these fools scare you get the .21tm and

alot of the guys that raced revos here are still using their original telescoping
driveshafts, including bb users

seems like the 21tm is based of the 18tm
same stroke but bigger bore
looks like the 21 is replacing the 18
anyone wanna confirm?
think all os did was stuff a bigger piston in the 18tm

we all know that the manufacturer claimed power
is a bunch of bull
but it seems as though os thinks that the 21tm makes
the same power as the 18tz...thought that might interest you

if you looking to keep all the easy start and stuff
you might as well go with the 21tm
if you actually want big block power, then go with a true big block

fuel economy isnt an issue i dont mind paying for the fuel, i want the snap that bb's have but with the speed of a sb and thought maybe the 21tm might have this, i dont know who all has this motor

I have the .21tm.Supposedly the .18tz has more bottom end but same top end.I am using a BUKU pipe to regain the bottom end the the .21 lacks.By far it is a much better motor the the 3.3 not to mention the ease of tuning and holding the tune.Unless you have had the .21 you can't fathom the ease of this motor.

yes they will hold up but they will also twist and the eyes of the yokes get all bent out of shape.I don't think i would take that chance if i was racing!

i pulled out my stock savage .25 engine and put in an STS .28 that i bought of that "popular auction site" and paid $134 shipped to BC from hong kong.. i was impressed.. you get about 20-25 minutes on a tank of fuel, but they haul some ass...

EDIT: and im a basher and dont have/or want to race..
