yeah don't really see the 18tm around anymore
so looks like the 21tm for you you could also consider rb they have a drop in for the revo also tm523 comes with pipe header and engine for like 300 have heard people say its a screamer also could always use the search tool and see what people say about it could also consider the pico .26 would have to pick up their engine mount could get that whole getup for like 200 bucks i've ran it before and it was ok front engine bearing leaked after a while for me have heard a few other people say the same thing seen others have slight tuning problems with it it ran fine for me kinda has mixed reviews really i know some people who just love it and some people who would never buy it again just thought i'd give you a bit more options hope this helps you a bit more |

yeah i never used the ofna engine mount for my picco 26
i just used the traxxas big block mount i guess i was lucky because the ofna mount was out of stock this is great even more options to help daniel15fl out hey daniel15fl, when you pick an engine let us know how it goes and what you went with and how you like it maybe there will be a bit more people putting in their 2cents to give you a bigger option hmm the new era mount? is that the one that you slide side to side to adjust the gear mesh instead of like how the stock one pivots off the inner screw? |
picco outlaws are baddass, i got one on my savy but i have a surefire .32 on my t-maxx. if you want a bigblock basher ill sell you mine if interested. if not u will need to do some upgrading, i got rr steel spur and forward only and primary, with mip shafts all th way around with a custom 3.3 shaft for center to rear diff because i have the extended chassis. if you want mine i got about 1500$ in it, ill sell for 500 with motor and 380 without. i know i probly wont get this but all that i hav in it i need to get something for it. plus i has the stoc chassis and enough parts to build 3 more maxxes. pm me:)

IMO i would go withthe 21tm, its a direct drop in fit and you can either run bump, pull or roto, anymore power than that then youll be buying more trans parts than you want to...

I have the TRX 3.3,Picco Max .26,OS .21TM and RB TM523. I have four Revo's.All have plenty of power but I think the OS .21TM has the smoothest power band, great low to mid rpm and holds a tune The RB is almost to violent for the track. Its cool that it comes with a header, mount and pipe. The Picco lacked top end put the new JL Red Dot version may solve this.I also ran the Traxxas resonator pipe. The 3.3 has great mid to top end but a lower quality engine.Stock up on engine bearings or get thr TKO ceramics. The OS .21TM is over priced but a great engine for the Revo for racing. It provides smooth power, decent fuel economy, light weight, bolt in fit with no issues.

big blocks are awesome.. i say its worth it. i dropped an lrp .28 into my savvy and my savvy is flying now. plenty of torque. i never seen an revo with a big block but i like to see 1. i did see 1 with a os 21 and it was flying.

I am planning on putting the new mach 2 .21 in my slayer. it is reliable, not brutally powerful, and easy to tune. Check it out...

I run an 18TZ and a 21TM in mine. I like the TZ a little better.
You can make the TZ a drop in motor for less than a 21TM.. http://cgi.ebay.com/OS-18-TZ-P-T-ABC...lenotsupported You'll need to get these to make it a drop in motor.. Or you can do a little trimming on the crank, and use a OFNA Clutch nut and it will work. http://cgi.ebay.com/O-S-21912000-OS-...lenotsupported http://cgi.ebay.com/O-S-21911800-OS-...lenotsupported http://cgi.ebay.com/O-S-21922000-OS-...lenotsupported http://cgi.ebay.com/Ths-Racing-Revo-...lenotsupported |
