Default Traxxas Summit

Good evening all,
I am looking into buy a monster truck. I am looking at the Traxxas Summit. I like the idea of being able to change from a monster truck to crawler. I am a little concerned the website says it takes to batteries to run. Is this un-common? Or does the Summit suck alot of juice. Also it is a little pricey. Does anyone have one is it worth the money? Any feed back would be appreciated.

it in NOT worth the money. They cannot crawl at all (compared to the axial) and are SUPER slow, so not very good bashers. Also it is $500!!! Dont spend your money on a truck that cant bash and cant crawl. If you want to be able to crawl get a axial and a slash for bashing=$400. It is basically a wet weather fun truck.

I have several electric trucks and they all take two battery packs. I do own a Summit and I have to say it's probably my least favorite to use. I know it's not meant to be, but it's not very fast at all...I guess it crawls ok(don't do much of this anyway)? Some of the obstacles that I thought it could handle...it doesn't! Could be the driver though! The second day that I had it...both the front and rear axels broke...I hadn't even jumped it yet or driven it hard. Traxxas claims it was a bad batch and quickly warrantied the parts (a lot of people had this problem). On the positive side...it looks COOL! I'm a w/e basher and if I knew what I know now...I wouldn't have spent the money on it!
