Default XTM Mammoth

I am planning to buy an XTM MAMMOTH. Any feedback on this MT? I heard its really fast and durable also has good handling.

I am confused as to what to buy, MGT, Savage or Mammoth.

Can anyone give me input?

Default This baby ROCKS!!!

I finally bought the Mammoth....after much researching on the current MTs out there. One thing that caught my interest is the price. Considering it has standard features that come as options on the other MTs.

It comes w/ 8 aluminum threaded shocks, aluminum shock towers, 2 speed, steel CV's, a .247 engine. A high torque steering servo (175 in./ 4.8 volts).

Plus, this baby is FAAAAASSSSSSTTTTTTTT!!!!!!It will beat any MT out there right now. It also handles very well on dirt and on pavement.

So if you are looking for a MT, this is a great deal.............

Killer: Old, wise R/C person (not I BUT close) has been known to say:

"It's hard to go wrong with Associated or Losi"

I've run a bunch of trucks over the years - T-Maxx, VERY modded T-Maxx, Savage, modded Savage, JT/Mugen truggy......

My current (for '04) ride: Monster GT

Why: It's hard to go wrong with Associated or Losi....

well engineered vehicles that come from companies that have passed the test of time.....

excellent parts support......

generally any vehicle (through gearing and "cubic inches") can be made to go as "fast" as your pocket book will allow but without parts support and good engineering, fast is going to be for a short time only if the vehicle is broken.

Lots of companies are entering the Monster Truck arena at present - it's going to be a growing area for this year and probably several more to come. BUT, the bottom line to any of this is that these (or any other for that matter) vehicles are NO FUN if they're broken &/or waiting for parts.........

Hope you have as much fun with these beasts as I have/do!

Thumbs up mammoth

i've got a mammoth, and i must say, that it is absolutely the fastest and well handling mt i've drove...just sold a .21 tmaxx, glad i did, because the mammoth is twice the truck...and i cant say enough about the xtm motor...it starts almost every time on the first or second pull, and talk about strong...i also did much research before i bought, because i was so displeased w/ the tmaxx mod, for the price you cant beat it...hope this helps!

it's holdin up petty good.we race against with the monster gt and savage pretty much there all same,it's just depends on who's driving and how much you abuse.but for the right price mammoth is good.
