Savage build in progress What do u think

The savage is already tough but this is bulletproof. Good motor choice you need big power to get that thing going.

rcvoodoo,
First off, welcome to RCTECH. I'm sure that you will find alot of helpful info here, as well as more opinions than you can count.
That's a nice start on an all aluminum Savage. The flaming TVPs are really different. Only thing I'd do different if I were to convert my Savage to aluminum would be to choose a single color for the parts.
My question though is what are you going to DO with it once it's built? Are you planning on bashing it? Alumimum trucks are very cool to look at, and undeniablly stronger in absolute trems, but they STILL will take damage, and are MUCH more expensive to repair than if you just have to replace stock parts. Plastic parts break, but the alloy parts will BEND and can be pretty hard to get straight again. I think that the only way that I would go the all aluminum route is if I were building a display truck.
Heh, well, there's one of those opinions that I was telling you about.

Im building it because its cool to look at. I will drive it around alittle and hopefully not mess it up. I have a Revo that i abuse, this is just a fun project i will post pics when done. I'm putting an RC solutions rollcage on it.

It is surely nice but IMO if you can`t race it or bash it , it`s a waste of money . But you must have plenty of it .

Who said I'm just going to look at it. I'm going to drive this maybe no bashing but def driving it. Tell me something why do they sell all these aluminum parts? I know to take your truck to the extreme, just because some people can't afford them doesn't mean its dumb. I have other trucks that I beat on. I have a Revo 3.3, 2more Savage Xl, Jammin X2 CRT, and a HPI Baja 5t. This is my hobby and I love it.

It`s not about if anyone can afford it or not . It`s not practical to build an all aluminum truck . They make these aluminum parts hoping people like you come along and buy them up . Now I can see adding a few aluminum parts to certain weak spots , but there are better things to spend money on in this hobby . But it is your money , and can do as you please .
