Default Revo Big Block conversion issue

Somehow, I wound up with a Revo. The original owner had a $450 modified Axe Cobra on it. This, to me, seemed like overkill. I ended up using the engine in an 8th scale buggy. The Revo sat for about a year. Recently, I've decided I wanted to try it out. I started to install the stock motor, but realizing I had a O.S. VG catching dust, I decided to use it.

I kept everything for the conversion, and started to piece it back together. Here's where I hit a snag. No matter how tight I get the flywheel nut, the flywheel doesn't clamp down on the main bearing. It looks like it'd take three or four 1mm spacers. Is that how it's supposed to work? Am I missing something?

yes you are right before you put the split bevel cone add 2 - 7*10*1 washers then put cone back on flywheel and tighten if still not tight add 1 more washer or as many as you need i used my stock clutch shoes and had to ream the middle a little because the flywheel nut had a big ridge on it so when they engadged they would slip down the ridge and press against the clutchbell causing the clutchbell to be stuck (may be different for you)well after you get your clutchbell on i added 1- 5*8*.5 teflon washer then a 5*8*2.8 brass washer and put the screw in (amount of 5*8*.5 washers may vary for you)hoped i helped out

Thanks for the hep guys. I "believe" I have the right flywheel. I have two, and one clears the engine better, so that's the one I'm trying to use. Looks like I'm on the right track with using spacers to make it work. Once it does, it'll be for sale. There's no Monster Truck class at the local track. This thing is LOADED with all sorts of hop ups and spare parts, so if you know anyone interested, PM me. I'm including everything in the pics:

if you get the motor in that rig you'll be able to race with truggies. as long as they aren't too serious, you'll keep up. Get the upper arms in the rear holes (changing the hollow balls as per the manual) and get P2 rockers with the P1 length rods. I did that to my stock 2.5 and it made a world of difference. it now skids round corners instead of flipping (stock tyres. ugh!)

good luck, and remember, it's not what you got, it's how you use it XD
