i know this has been discussed but technology has changed a lot since some of the posts.

i have a revo 3.3 that i converted to electric and was running with a single VXL for a while. it was ok. now i have a feigao 7xl that i want to use with my Mamba Max ESC.

what i want to know is, can a Mamba Max ESC handle that motor in a revo with a 3s lipo? i set it up and did a couple little runs in my living room and the Mamba Max already felt warm.

if the Mamba Max can't handle a Feigao 7xl with an 11.1, will i need a Mamba Monster ESC? or should i just scrap the whole setup and get a Novak HV Pro?

i run a neu 2200kv 1515/1y on a mamba max , with fan , ext cc bec on 5s . with 3 diff trucks . never givin me a prob .. try it out .. if not just purchase a mmm/motor combo , they are about 380 usd

The 7XL is known to run hot and will make your MM run hot as well. Run a fan and get an RCM heatsink for the motor. Running only 3S - a good fan should make temps manageable.

I ran a fieago 9xl with my mamba max and 2-2s lipos and had no problem. I did have a novak fan and rcmonster heat sink though. As far as I was told it also matters what the kv of the motor is. But with the mambamax and fieago 9xl on my emaxx it was extremely quick.
