Default Clutch problems?

Well I was able to get my Revo 2.5 running today, but another problem that I had earlier came back.

Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqPqo9RAs_Y

When I go to start it up, the clutch will want to engage and the wheels will spin without me giving it any throttle. When I stop, it still wants to go and when it can't go, it stalls.

Any suggestions on why might be the problem? Would it be the slipper clutch?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

your idle is set too high. it would be the little screw closest to the engine on the side. if it is 100% IMPOSSIBLE to set the idle any lower than it is already without it stalling, then try new clutch springs. depending on how old it is, the springs might be worn out.

ya thats exactly what happened to my friends tmaxx 2.5 when he first got it. apparently these 2.5s have a spot in the idle settings that make it jumpy. drop the idle screw a bit and see what happens. when my friend dropped his it ran like a champ.

I dropped it a whoe turn, still getting the same problem.
I'm pretty sure it's the clutch instead of the idle.

take out your engine and check if your clutch bell is spinning freely

That's a symptom of a broken clutch spring.

i would dissassemble and take a look at everything closer.. sounds like you may have a broken spring or bad bearing

Default clutch

Probably going to have to pull the engine and check the clutch bearings first (make sure clutch bell spins easily and doesn't make any bad noises) like others have said already. If ok, pull clutch bell and make sure you don't have a broken clutch spring or clutch shoe (I have seen both).

def gotta be your clutch spring just take out the motor and you will be able to replace it fairly easy and its not a bad idea to replace your clutchbell bearings even if there not in bad shape cause you can save them for later but you mine as well while you have the motor out just one less thing to worry about imo
