Default Rc Question

I just bought REVO TRX 2.5R used for a hundred bucks. It has a couple problems the previous owner ( a good friend) mentioned.

1. He says it will only go forward no reverse. No matter what way you hold the trigger on the control.

2. Needs a basic tune up. Any suggestions on that?

Appreciate the help,

Bird

if you have an owners manual put the carb back to its stock settings. the truck might have to forward only kit in it so it wont go into reverse. if you need mroe help on the tuning info let us know what is going on. Also you can go to the traxxas web site and get a copy of the manual there.

Good luck

He bought it new. And he hasnt added anything to it. Its stock as it gets

He said it might be a wire switched around? Sound possible? Or do the transmissions go out on them?

As for tune ups I will update when I have some time to tinker with it.

best thing i could recommend is go thru the owners/set-up manual and make sure everythings connected correctly.

if its not switching into reverse it could be the servo for the reverse(not likely to go out) but its possibl, or it could be something interanl. does it drive good in forward?? if it doesnt have the forward only shaft i would suggest getting one and putting it in. you will lose alot of weight in the tranny and make everythign internally spin faster for a faster truck.
