Pull starter
Hey guys,
This afternoon I snapped my pull starter cord.
I took off the screws to try and re-attach it and then the coiled up piece of wire flung out everywhere.
What do I do?
Is it easier just to buy a new one?
Are the specific to motors, or do they come as a generic thing?
Thanks

I melted the pull starter off of my Duratrax Thunderquake. I just paid the $25 or so for a new starter. Its a total of about 4 screws once you get the engine off. I don't know if they are engine specific, I ordered mine for the Torq 21.

let me put it this way. i have put that damn soring in there some many times from my pull starter string breaking taht i just said screw it and baught a new one. it is sooo much easier to buy a new one than try to put it back together. they need to make one with a steel drum and cable for a pull start system.
