the rustler will not win that one. most def. not!! you would have to do quite abit to that rustler to make it out run the maxx.

I just sold my rustler vxl. It was stock with a smc 3800 6 cell pack and it was just as fast as my tmaxx 3.3 that I have. If you put a lipo in the rustler no tmaxx will have a chance. Just go to youtube and type in rustler vxl and you will see tons of videos of 70mph and up passes with a stock vxl rustler and a 11.1v lipo pack.

my maxx isnt a 2.5 anymore. fully modded hpi 4.6, dace predator chassis, metal cv shafts all around, running 17mm hubs for truggy tires. honestly tooo many mods to list. i am stationed in england were rc cars are a big hit. i have raced my maxx with numberous vxl rustlers running brushless and lipos. these guys know how to race. i still beat them. drag race, track i still beat them. if you dont believe me thats your choice but i know the facts that my truck DID beat numberous vxl rustlers.

you just said a rustler wont keep up with a maxx. they dont even make a 28 tooth clutch bell for maxx. the highest is 23T. from what you just said a maxx will out run a vxl rustler.

and yes it does go 70 plus actually. i have some nice connection with people being in the military that are into rc car, and plus my dads a cop so he clocked my truck for me. so lets not start this out be be an arguement. ill believe what i kno and you will believe what you dont know. reread what you said and reread what you said. you both said the same thing just in different words. i know hes talking about gearing. by what trigg just said "even stock gearing with a decent 6 cell MIGHT give him 40+." one memeber got 51mph with a good cell and 28/76 gearing. from what Jatoman said "hes talking about gearing on the VXL" so let let me get this straight from what jatoman said hes talking about gearing on the VXL. so therefore both of you just said a tmaxx will win and just didnt know it. if you are both talking about the rustler according to tigg the truck will only go 51+. I rest my case.
