Here's a photo of my stock pede with a old Parma (I think) Bronco body I had sitting around for many years. I have since lowered the body as low as I can get it, put a few must have RPM products on, home made wheelie bar, Rooster esc with a 16T motor and the nessecary gearbox updates and I'm running Imex Swamp Dawg rears, Associated 2.2 truck fronts on Traxxas Pro Star wheels.
Next on the to-do list is probably going to be the wide suspension mod and a Mamba Max 5700.
I have measured up the HPI 73 Bronco body in my LHS and it'll fit the pede perfectly. Its pretty much the same demensions as the Parma version.

Another body I like having on the pede for shelf appearence is the Proline Bushwacker but its a bit top heavy for anything else.

For those that are interested in a Pede Bash session I would be glad to meet you half way, say Fiji or Hawaii
Cheers

Well, I had to go to my LHS/track to meet up with a racing buddy who was buying my Jammin FTE. So I thought, why not bring the Stampede? I had it at a different track by myself last year and had a blast.
Well I get there, and the guy and a couple others are tooling around in their 1/10 buggys. So I think cool, I can see just how "slow" this thing is in stock form, other than the 1" extention and the Jato arms. Wow, was it ever SLOW!!! I can remember thinking that this was a quick little RTR. And it is, but it was NO match for a mod buggy, as it should be. But it just made me want MORE. I guess if I want to run this thing at the track from time to time, I need a 6900. I already have the shoes for it, I just need the adapters. And Proline just came out with the MT sized Baja body, and I NEED that.
Why is it I have to modify ALL my RC's to get them to race type specs????
Its a WIP..........

Would like some advice please. I have yet to purchase a stampede but i'm slowly buying all the parts ready for a stampede project i'll be working on.
I've purchased a set of 40 series proline crime fighter tyres and a set of Velocity 6 40 Series Chrome Fits 40 Series Tires, standard hex rims. I've mounted the tyres onto the rims already.
I've also bought some hex adaptors from speedtech to suit the stampede so i can use the 40 series rims for the T-maxx.
My question is, Will those wheels fit onto the standard stampede XL-5? Or will i need longer suspension arms?
I'm thinking maybe that the inside of the wheels will hit the suspension or body.
Any advice would be great thanks.
I'll be buying the Stampede in another 6 weeks time. I've got some big plans for it
Cheers
Alan.
