Default Tower Hobbies

Hey, anyone else notice that Tower Hobbies pulled the kyosho line from their inventory? Anyone know why? Personally, i say good for tower...not liking kyosho right now...everytime they change models, you can't find parts for the old one

From what I remember, Kyosho tried to setup their own part distribution center, so those that needs parts will have to get it from Kyosho themselves. This caused a bad run-in with Great Planes (They are Tower Hobbie's distributor) and pretty much caused Tower Hobbies to pull all parts and kits from their inventories.

This was sometimes early last year, and because of that, it caused prices of Kyosho kits and parts to plummet spectacularly. I picked up a brand new MP777 kit from a hobby shop for $300 because of this, but I believe Kyosho realized their mistake and are distributing parts to shops and online retailers again.

Great Planes and Tower Hobbies are the same company. so ya know.

all part of Hobbico.

does this mean all hobby shops and stuff are getting parts from Kyosho or all customers are? assuming they are ust becoming a distributer right?

I *think* what happened was Kyosho was tired of GP pulling parts support for their cars, and that was the motivation behind Kyosho having a US-based warehouse. www.kyoshoamerica.com is the website
