HPI E- Savage
#1
Hello.....on HPI's website they have released(I think) what looks like a rebadged Hot Bodies E-Zilla electric monster truck. Is this truck released yet? Looks like a fun basher type truck. Not alot of hop ups were released for the E-Zilla so maybe with HPI now selling this truck there will be more. Looks like with Novak selling a replacement brushless set for the E-Maxx type trucks this could be the hot setup for this truck.

The E Savage is the same as the E Zilla, with Hot Bodies taking on more of the "racer" roll it was a good time to move the truck over to the HPI "fun" side of the fence. The E Savage/Zilla is a great truck and comes ready to run with 3300 battery packs and a peak charger that will charge both packs included.

Hi Guys
I am totally new to R/C cars/Trucks, as well as super new to this forum. After some reading, research and advice experts, i decided to get myself the E-Zilla.
I have own it for 1 month now, and i am enjoying every sec. of it. We used a radar gun to clock the top speed, and it was able to hit 70KM/h on stock setup including the stock 3300mAh NiMH 12 cells.
Are the links to some of the videos and pictures.

Country - Singapore
Place/Location - Bedok Reservoir Industry Park 2.
So far so good, i have only broken the rear left drive shaft and it is a super easy job to replace a new one. The only problem now is there are minium hop-ups for it. But i sure can wait for themto be available then i will get to enjoy this MT more.
You can also visit the Unofficial E-zilla forum. http://ezillacomm.forumsplace.com/
There are tones and tones of everything on the E-Zilla.

It was just a shame that HB didn't go all out in promoting this truck. From what I've heard, its tough and fast stock. Lets see what difference will it make now that HPI stepped in. I always but at towers when my LHS doesnt stock on parts, hopefully, they stock now. Lets see.

You are right...the nitro truck is trying to keep up with you. Is your truck stock....because if it is that's a really fast electric truck!!! I can't believe it has the stock motors......you running brushless maybe?

yea thats stock. but probably different batts. The hotbodies comes with 2200's or something like that. It was fast stock but when I gave it the 3700's oh man did this little truck open up. It beats my Savage X for the first 50 feet but the Savage drags it down on top end.
The only part I broke on this was the front right upper arm. I slammed into the tire of an F-250. I got the parts from Horizon.
I think its great HPI adopted the E-zilla instead of making a new truck. The E-zilla is already and awesome truck and now we can get some hop-ups

I am still running on the STOCK motors, there are a pair of 550 14.4V brush motors.
I am currently still running at 12 cells, i am waiting for my 3900mAh 2S Lipos to arrive, it is ging to be even faster. The Twin Stock motors is already clocking 70KM/h that is about 42miles/hrCome quick, go get yourself an E-SAVAGE.
