RD Logics Wolverine

RD Logics Wolverine
I've recently added to my nitro collection a Wolverine. From all visual impressions it's a pretty close knock-off of a HPI Savage. I'd like to think I'm one that's above average in "searching" skills but in spite I'm finding it fairly hard to find much of anything about the truck other than the numerous merchants for it. It's a 1/8 scale, .25/4.02cc MT that can take a pretty healthy beating. I'm well-known to TRY to kill a truck just to find the weakest link for the next upgrade.
Anyhow, does anybody know of a site/forum/etc where I might find a collection of Wolverine owners? I'm to understand a large majority of the available parts for a Savage are direct drop-ins but I'd like to be among fellow owners so I can see what others have done to theirs, etc. I must say though, coming from a T-Maxx 2.5 I'm quite impressed at the Wolverine's stamina to what I put it through. But of course, with the beatings I lash out on my trucks I'm going to make some aftermarket companies full of busy shippers very soon. The custom track in the back yard is nearly finished and I've got that T-Maxx as well as a nitro Rustler just itching to catch some more air.
In case it's not been mentioned in the forums here somewhere, you should check out a site I found that is a perfect example of what I do to my rides. www.beatyourtruck.com The first link in the top header is "Beatings" and that's the kind of healthy abuse I subject my rides to. If you want to run with me you BETTER have a roll cage, aluminum bulks and some heavy springs. If it's not 10 feet in the air then you're just not USING your truck for what it was made for.
Ride on all...
And let the beatings begin...
Thanks in advance for any links you guys care to drop about my new ride.

Hello m8, you might see my new thread lol on a mt called the raptor. This is one and the same as the wolverine that you have bought, and has quite a big following in the uk although there is as you mentioned nothing really on the net about them. If people are keen we will keep this or my thread open as I have too tried many other trucks and the raptor is by far the best in my opinion right out of the box. The problem lies in the lack of hopups!
You will find that schumacher racing in the uk does this monster truck, they distribute it in the uk for a company called nanda racing. You can check them out online but the weblink takes you to their website in china, which isnt much good lol
best off trying the forum on schumachers website which is wicked for advice on the raptor. There is a "raptor thread" there if u search under that........enjoy yr truck, thyre great, and have many happy hours thrashing savages.

Latest news
When I got this truck I was literally AMAZED by it's 'beat-ability'. Everything in this thing is a Savage on crack. The upper control arms are something of a spectacle just by themselves. The Proline 40-series Dirt Hawgs W/T help with the impression.
Anyhow, I smoked the half-dead clutch/spur in it and the motor is full of metal filings. All hope is not lost.
I got on the phone with RDLogics and quickly had the new clutch parts ordered and they showed up 2 days later at a 5-dollar shipping instead of the higher price the site listed. Those got dropped in that afternoon and now I sit and wait for the new 4.6 motor to arrive. For the curious...SH 28 3.6HP ROTO START 6-PORT MONSTER Savage Engine.
This thing is going to be MEAN!!! A 4.6 with 3.6HP is something I'm going to have to see for myself. At least I'll get to see how bulletproof those arms are next week.
Just to satisfy curiosity I also ordered a Savage 25 yesterday. That should be here Monday and the Wolverine's replacement motor should be here a day or two after. Bottom line = we'll see first hand how similar these things really are. I just wanted to add in this thread that the Wolverine does indeed seem to be a basher-from-hell truck that just seems TOO meaty for any competitive racing. The Savage with Integy arms should be able to handle that need for me as long as the 4.1 in it is still up to snuff. Got my eyes on a Hellfire 4.6HO (used) for $300 now that might be the next project in line. I'll get the new motor dropped in this Wolverine first and let you guys know how it came out but let me end this by saying that RDLogic's knowledge, initiative, shipping-speed, price and availability are no longer a question in my mind. One day on the phone...2 later the parts are in Massachusetts from California for a finney. Who could ask for more?
NilSatis, I'll check out these links tonight once I get sat down again. I'm just on break from the HUGE track I'm building in the back woods. I've cleared 100' x 150' easy of pure woods all the way down to loose dirt. I may not end up with the biggest, best or most popular but I DAMN sure bet that when it's done it will be the best track inside of 50 miles. (Since that's why I'm building it, there isn't any around here. :P) I'll be sure to get some good digital shots of it. RATS!!! I should've done a "build" gallery of the track from start to finish. You'd think I'm nuts to clear the over-grown woods. This is pure undergrowth hell but what I've done...I've DONE!! And it will be great to race on. Hell, I might have to call up a couple buddies to bring their electric Stampedes over here so I have something to aim these REAL MT's at.
Race it like you stole it...

Followup:
The SH .28 motor smoked the one-way bearing at the 3rd break-in tank. It's still in a box in my closet now. I also closeted the Wolverine and devoted everything to the Savvy. It now has GPM TVPs, GPM arms, hardened bones/shafts, hardened gears, spur/bell, HPI DirtHawgs, GPM bulkheads, hi-torque servos, and get this.... wait for it... an Axial .32 that ripped the reverse gears out of it before I could say "ouch". End result. Love the Savvy and love the new motor. And I didn't have to wait two weeks for a shipment from Hong Kong. WooHoo! Ready for unlimited MT racing in spring 2007.
