that gravel pile grew by about 3 times, took my MGT out on it again but bust another shock and had a few nasty landings.

Racing a MGT?
Look forward to receiving my MGT. Are there any changes I need to make for racing?
|
Lower it with internal shock limiters (fuel tubing) so the arms are alittle above level. Then get some series 40 Proline wheels and sereis 40 bowtie tires.I prefer the aluminum shocks myself. Other than that. its ready.

awesome thanks for the quick reply. I am suprised that not more of these trucks are racing. They seem easy to work on and look like they run well..........I guess the REVO is so dominant right now. I was looking at the Integy MSR5 super duty shocks, are they any good?

My MGT
As for lowering it, a better idea...at IMO, would be to place AE TC3 wheel nuts ( it doesn't really matter which you use, just using these as an example...and they're BLUE!) underneath each of the four mount holes of each shock tower. Also, use slightly longer screws.

I've been looking to rebuild my shocks but can't seem to find stock replacements. What gearing are you using? Im currently at 13/52, but I want to try 16/49. I have the spur but need to get a 16 bell that will work. I raced with some folks last summer and Im pretty sure they told me they were running this, and it was ballistic. |
MGT
Truck looks GOOD

I had the integy shocks. They are cheap junk. I bought the associated aluminum shock bodies and they work great. Also change the diff fluid to 30,000 front and 10000 rear. This truck is hooked up.

Lowering?
How are the integy aluminum shock towers? Is there any way to lower the truck for racing?
