Default Advantage of no reverse

I am wondering what the advantages are of getting the no reverse kit for the LST2, it suposedly gives you more power, but how?

less rotating mass on the drivetrain allowing it to spin quicker

plus, it takes away the urge of using reverse on the track and making people mad

right darrell!!!!

night and day difference in the performance of the truck also, you must remove a pound of gears when you do it because it acts much more responsive

It seems that way because lightening rotating mass is 4X more effective than removing static mass. Roughly, 1/4 oz. of rotating mass is equal to 1oz. of static mass, in regards to acceleration.

wow, sounds like it is pretty effective. I will for sure be getting that. But, anyone know why reverse isn't allowed at tracks? Cuz some trucks don't have it? Or because it would confuse the marshalls?

Making it foward only saves 168 grams.
You can also reverse two of the gears inside the foward only tranny mod to gain more top end.

Power to weight and higher gearing will give you more power.

reverse is a clear unfair advantage at a track cause look.

you crash into the dividors and the truck gets stuck, you can put it in reverse and break lose, while the other person needs to wait for a marshall to come and pick it up and remove it.

it does offer a snappier ride though
