Default Team Associated Rival MT10 thread

Team Associated has revived the Rival! Looks like an all-new design. 3S capable 1/10 MT, plastic chassis, 4 shocks, all new truck.

Looks like it's pretty similar to the Helion Avenge 10MT, other than bumper/wheelie bar

Yeah, similar to their 28th scale vehicles: looks like they 'worked with' a low cost manufacturer and made some small changes and slapped their name on it. That isn't to say it will be bad, I love my SC28's for driving around in the house with the kids.

The wheels/tires on that Avenge are Proline Trenchers on f-11 wheels. Are those what came stock on the Avenge?

A good hex driver set, I highly recommend spending the money on a 1.5/2.0/2.5mm driver set from MIP. 7.0mm for the wheel nuts too.
Replacement arm set from a Helion Avenge MT is a really good idea, for some reason the Associated arms are much weaker.
A temp gun to measure motor temps. I think that's about it, the truck is quite good.

Out of curiosity, what’s the ground clearance on this thing? I’m checking out the specs, but I don’t see it listed (though I could have missed it)

I ordered a B74, but this could potentially make a nice gift for my nephew to bash around with.

I just bought one of these from Tower today. Shortly after, they were sold out. This truck seems to be a hot commodity.

So...is it just me or is that just a straight up copy of stampede 4x4?

Just you. Most monster trucks share the same components, it’s very difficult to distinguish them from the basic design. But it’s most definitely not an intentional copy of a Stampede.

my Proline MT4x4 looks nothing like my Tekno MT410, or the kyosho 1/10 MT I had, and none of them looks anything like my stampede 4x4

this truck has the exact same layout and overall design as a stampede 4x4, from the chassis pan layout, bulkhead design, how front and rear bulkheads attach to the chassis, motor mount design, suspension set up, shock tower design, steering mechanism, servo placement, even the receiver box layout and placement. It’s ancient coming from traxxas and just down right sad from Associated as some kind of “all new” offering.

i haven’t been in the game as long as most, but where did stampede 4x4 copy it’s design from?

My truck arrived yesterday. Hopefully I can put it through the paces this evening, but it’s so hot here in Virginia, that when I get home all I want to do is stay inside and soak up the air conditioning.
