Default Clod sensor or sensorless?

Clod having dual esc and motors has me wondering if there is any benefit or drawbacks to having sensored or sensorless motors for racing (will only be used for racing).
I was thinking about a brushless Castle or Hobbywing combo, but stuck on a couple of things.
Is there much difference between sidewinder 3 and the SW4 for castle?
The hobbywing senseless 4600kv is 60mm so I was looking at the sensored combo at 54mm but it is also $50 more, so it would be $100 total more.
So my thoughts are castle SW4 4600kv vs hobbywing sensored 4600kv. Leaning towards castle due to costs but hesitant because of the sensor question. I have hobbywing in my sct410 and really like it, no experience with castle.

Sorry for all the questions, but you guys/gals are my only source for advice. Thank you!

I think sensored is always the way to go. Monster trucks do go slow in turns and that's where sensored really helps and sensorless hurts.

I didnt think of the turning thing. I was worried about if there were additional problems syncing them. But your point makes sense to me.

if your racing a clod your not going to be driving slow in corners.. Ive been running my racing clod with sensoreless gear for many years with no issues...

Racers all run sensored. A sensorless setup hasnt won at a major event in years. Wouldnt ever go back to sensorless. Sensored will be no harder to setup then sensorless.
