Arrow mgt

hey mate!
Yeh a mate of mine has an mta4, pretty much the same as my MGT, it came with the .21 and it goes pretty well.... its a little bigger than the savage(wheels and stance, skight overall size and actually has a bit more suspension travel at the wheels anyway)... His doesn't pop wheelies as such but with harder springs or heavier oil it wouldn't be far off...
I have a port an polished HPI .25 (savage motor) in my MGT atm and it does pop wheelies with the right blip, but not anytime, again, pretty soft dampening... The two side by side my MGT has a little more all round, but surprisingly not too much...im looking for a .28 or bigger for my next mod.
hope that helps!

cheers, Adam

its been a mixed bag here,i know of three MGT owners and 2 have said it was junk and the other i seen run and it was smoking.

seemed to tune ok held its tune nice but its more durability than anything for me,the rear port nipple that hold the pipe on broke off for no reason(not the first time i heard about that).

i would look into a SH28 not the best out there but the ones i have seen run will pull wheelies all day long not much for top end its a stump puller for sure

and thier cheap one of the members of our club got his for 90 bucks and then it was like 25 shipping to have it in 2 days not too bad.

well i did the swap and this engine is INSANE in my savage ! im running 17/49 gearing and i can pop wheelies all day long ! i can sit there idle for like 20 seconds and slam the throttle and pop a wheelie....my bottom arms are level and i have stock springs and stock oil and im runnin only 4 springs all round(2 front 2 back)

thank god i got that wheelie bar but it helps abit not that much it still rides just the wheelie wheel and no truck rims i can do around 2 metres on the wheelie bar wheel without topping over....i have MTA4/MGT rims on my savage with dirt bones squashed onto them and there not as good....they start the wobble at high speed lol i would swap this engine over the HPI K4.6 ANY day and i plan on racing this engine....and it doesnt overheat and i still havnt touched the needles after 12 tanks....its totally MADNESS
