One more question from a brushless motor n00b.
Brushless motors are longer and larger than regular brushed motors right? Will a brushless motor fit in a Legend?

How bout going by the Standard set up - 4 cell nicads and stock spec motor for Charger/biginners class and then a semi pro for more advanced drivers- As these cars were for racing on road or circle class and a spec class to start -lets not get them started on hot cars from the get go - Just for thought - Run circle track stock with minor changes allowd as per Pauls post and have a mod or whatever road class on wed night racing - your thoughts as can have it both ways and easy to change cars to run Wed night if want to and rest of us ol duffers can run stock on Wed if we want and all run stock on circle track and have a lot of fun
Thats my 1/2 cent worth as of now - I have 2 dif sets of Legend rules and can copy some for a gettogether to discuss or cuss at
We odnt need to price this style of racing out of reach for folks

If you want to have 2 sets of rules, one for oval, one for onroad, that's cool. I would not split up and have two classes for oval though (at least right away) because we would need to have a nice field of cars racing in one class before splitting them up. Just my opinion.

If I can add one more opinion to the legends rules mix.... I ran Legends back in the day, at Duey's, and at Hobbytown on the black carpet in brooklyn park, plus some other tracks here and there, I would say no geaing rule, I. E., run whatever ratio you want, most people will run whatever ratio the track needs or dictates, a few people will overgear thinking that is "faster" then realize burning up motors is no fun... If you have gear rule in place, then it is a matter of the right size tire for gearing, or finding the hot motor for mandated gear ratio, both of those are more costly than running open gearing in that regard with a spec motor... Just My .02 cents... JEFF

what is run for onroad at MMR.They could spec a can motor that a
inexpensive speed control can handle(like in the Slash class)to keep
cost down.

Yep -I think only one class for oval and a dif rule class for road course but oval cars can run with the road cars if want but no road rules on the oval race night- 3 or 4 nicad cells and low price motor /spec motor would help to keep the cost down - Dont most of us have 4 cell nicad packs laying around we could use for some fun racing?- lets not over reg or pick this to death like Govt- keep it simple and fun

Will slash motors work in Legend cars+ they arn not expensive around 20 bucks and always available if they will work
