I can't wait to come down again. Will hopefully have enough equipment collected in the next week or two to actually put a car on the track.

The offroad track is roughed in, there is a good possiblity of them being on the Mnrc Schedule. They are looking at offroad races atleast a couple times a month. (nitro and electric)

I really wish I didn't live 1 1/2 hours away. I'd definitely be there.

What 18th scales are being used. Also what equipment should I expect to use to be competetive?

I don't run the class but I'm guessing brushless is pretty much needed. Some foams and a late model body. I believe everyone is running Associated 4wd stuff.

This link should take you right to their rules. As far as what most people are running, hopefully rcnate can help you on that.

Car counts have been good...59 entries on January 10th and 67 entries on January 17th. Come check out the action! Doors open at 1PM, racing at 4PM for the next 2 Saturdays....then the Midwest R/C Outlaw Winternationals the weekend of Feb 6-8. Check out this link for more info.

I know oval racing isn't something everyone gets excited about, but this is a top notch facility that everyone should check out at least once. Tom and Charlie have built a great place, and it will only get better once the ground thaws.

There's three of us that come from Iowa about every other week. We our running RC18T's with Mamba 6800kv motors and 2 cell Li-po's. We also have McAllistor latemodel bodies on them.

Sounds like there will be a couple 2wd's up there for the nationals.

Will this indoor dirt oval be open to race over the spring and summer months? Or does something else happen outdoors?
