Nothing yet. I'll check with Jon at the Pingree race to see if he has an update then.

The 2wd electric class appears so looks good based on the specs that were submitted ...

The open class appears to be limited to electric powered vehicles only.

Will post more info when Jon posts the final setup.

how things coming guys?

so far looks like great interest in 2wd electrics from the past two events (Manvel race, Pingree $$$ race).

Also, looks like we got another person wanting to run in the open class with a 1/8 scale conversion.

For those interested in the open class, this will most likely be for any electric vehicles that do not fit the 2wd 1/10 scale category that was submitted.

So if you have say a 1/10 scale 4wd electric buggy, or an electric monster truck, or even a nitro vehicle that has been converted to electric regardless of scale, this is the class you can run it.

For those interested in the whole 1/8 scale electric thing that is gathering momentum, feel free to ask any questions that you have.

I am working on putting an E RC8 together. I am hoping finishing it next month. I am waiting for the MMM v3, my MMM v2 is at CC right now. It died last Sunday.

Great to see another joining in on the 1/8 scale electric class.

How are you liking the Tekno conversion so far?

Question for you guys looking to run in the open class, as it may be that it will be an electric only class (nothing final yet), would anyone want to go with another heat and main format to submit to Jon?

example:

8 - 10 minute heat
10 minute main

I am thinking since we don't need the warm up period with an electric vehicle, could have longer heat. Also, with a shorter main at 10 minutes, most battery packs out there should make that no problem even with very hard driving.

Thoughts?

I haven't had the chance to test it. The MMMv2 lasted two days. Oh well. What speed controller do you run? MMM?

Still running with the MMM V1. Knock on wood. I also have a MM that I will setup again for 1/8 scale use just in case.

Guys pending I don't get sent to any other events for work, you can count me in for the 1/8th scale electric class. The Fusion will be ready and don't worry about heat and main times I'm open for anything. I'm running this thing with 2 8000's or 2 8400's so I've got lots of run time to deal with.

Great. How has the fit of the 8400s been in the Caster trays?

I'd be happier with 2 heats, but that's me.

I mean i'm paying 30 bucks for the entrance fee, with one vehicle. I want what I deserve lol.

sorry, what I mean was 8 - 10 minutes Per Heat, and 10 - 15 minute main. So if it is decided to have 2 heats and a main, you would get total racetime between 26 min - 31 minutes, again, depending on what is approved.
