MOST importantly...

2-day race scheduled?

Maybe April? Mid-late March? Before harvest needs to start obviously...

Maybe early-mid Feb? Heck, I'd even do January.

Well guys, How did clean up day go? How is the new layout? Practice days?
Race days? Schedule? I wanna play with some rc stuff and the track at the farm has recieved 3 inches of rain in the last 2 days. I can't do anything in the field, and I am going CRAZY just sitting around her looking at my stuff.

Wouldn't you know it, no track (at the farm) for 2 years, and one finally gets rebuilt, and we go into full on Monsoon season.

a few quick questions.

Current batteries of choice for 1/12?

Brushless setup of choice for 1/12? Stock? Mod? Turn for mod?

Brushless setup of choice for sedan?

I am really liking all I read about the rs tekin setup.. but holy $$$$

I don't know who I am kidding with the brushless questions.. I am too cheap to tear out a whole bunch of perfectly good stuff that no one will give me anything for... but still wondering.

Has anyone run the promatch 5000 2s lipos at all? how are they?

Thanks.. Ian

Hey Ian, we are curently practicing every wed night and also sun 19. We have not settled on a schedule but when we do we will post. Everybody i know is going to be using the EnerG 4600's for batteries and LRP Sphere is the best speed control we have found. As for motors I have been running LRP,and Fantom 17.5, and 13.5 with great success in both 1/12 and Sedan. Rollout for 1/12 17.5 is right around 2.90in and sedan 17.5 is 49mm. The classes we will be running this year are
17.5 / 27 Turn 1/12
13.5 1/12
17.5 / 27turn Sedan
1/10 Vintage Trans AM

I hope you guys can make it for a few of our practice day's and also a few race days.

Thanks Tyler

Those EnerG 4600 cells are insane! We ran them in off-road this year too and they are noticeably faster than our best 4200's. They dump like crazy, and fade very little. They do tend to discharge unevenly in storage, though, so packs need to be re-balanced every other week unlike 38-4200's that seemed to cycle forever without issue.

I ran 115 laps with fresh 4600's today on a stock motor pan car before they finally dumped. Took me over 20 minutes! (I can still only make 12-13 second laps) Power was only down slightly after about 12 min - well beyond the 8 minute mark.

Also picked up a Sphere, but still running it on brushed 27T....I realize that a brushless motor is inevitable. Nice speedo for sure. Did I miss it in an earlier post or what traction compound will you be running in Pingree this year?

I know that you guys have a limited supply of parts there, are you going to be stocking the hpi tires for the vintage racers?

Thanks, Ian

Sunday may be a practice day if not grinding down a high spot in the track surface. I know I still need to work on tire selection and getting the feel for the new layout. Sounds like our Minot friends will be bringing alot of speed.
