The trusty XM. Sure would of sucked if the contacts for the power cord gave out on the trip. Sweet thread, and I remember you telling me about those songs on the way up:lol:

I'm out for tomorrow gang. Finals next day=bad idea:nod:

Hey all, here is a few pics of the unique trophies they give out up at Duluth, the mechanic approves of them, the rest of the house however is not so sure they fit the decor....

FG Bigfoot 01-21-2008 08:23 PM

Yep, they do look good! The only place they would like better would be on my shelf! :ha::ha: It might be tough to get them from your mechanic though. :ha::tire:

I can say that after running both this weekend I fully aprove of what roar did. 13.5 is WAY fast, and 10.5 is retarded, comparing a good 19t to a good 10.5 is night and day, much the same way comparing a stock and 13.5 is. One thing I learned that had previously made me feel differntly then above is how to gear the motors, keep gearing up cuz they just keep getting better!

There has also been an ULTRA rare sighting of the team owner of this operation, the rick hendrick if you will, he has long since retired from mechanic duties, or anything else physical for that matter, but still is involved in the operations.... Also included here is the last known sighting of the team manager in an RC role...

I'm not sure you can get parts for it any more. Bring it with you next time and we will see what can be done.

Hey all, just checking in with my race report from Duluth, for anyone who hasn't been up there or know about the Duluth club, I HIGHLY recommend you go up there and race sometime, it is a club that has a lot of fun racing, they layout a great track, and put on a good race. It was really good to see so many people out racing, they do a novice class, a few kids racing, and girls! It was good to see a large turnout of Twin Cities guys, especially good to see Mike Mowery made it out, and of course Mark got a rare weekend off to come out and race, and do a little:rolleyes: drinking sat night. On a personal note, I had a good time up there, cars worked well, my BMI 13.5 powered car was VERY fast, my TQ in stock I believe was faster than all but ONE car in 19 turn... The other fun fact from the weekend is that 3 of the 4 TQ's and wins in 12th and sedan were by a brushed motor, maybe they aren't quite dead yet.....It seemed like Rusty had agood time at his first big race, you other 12th scalers better look out, he sat by me all weekend and learned alot, he's gonna be faster...:sneaky: Thanks again to the crew that puts on this race, and to everyone there for a good time, for everyone who did not go, they are having another HUGE race the last weekend of March, at the World of Wheels car show in Duluth, make plans to attend.... JEFF

I had a few lemonaids, but was in far better shape than some. hic !!!
