For those getting ready for Stock Wars next weekend, 7-9 December, here are a few key things to remember (below). In addition to standard ROAR rules, we are following Can-Am RC Series rules.


1) Racers must have male 3.5mm bullet connectors on their speed control leads to the motor. There is absolutely no soldering allowed on the Can-Am motor tabs.


2) Fixed gearing applies to all Can-Am classes.

-TC is a minimum 5.40 FDR, nothing lower.

-USGT is a minimum 4.40 FDR, nothing lower.

-F1 must run fixed pinion (28t 64p) / spur (92t 64p)

-1/12 must run fixed pinion (56t 64p) /spur (72t 64p)


3) Can-Am motors will be issued randomly each morning and returned to tech each evening. Can-Am motors must not leave the track.


The track does have several sets of TQ Wire's 3.5mm male bullets (the best in the business) available for purchase. Also, 180 does have several 72T 64P spur gears available. We have a few 56T 64P pinions on the way for next weekend as well.

If anyone should need 92T 64P spurs, or 28T 64P pinions for F1 and does not have a hobby shop, or favorite online shop to purchase from, please let me know ASAP.

Stock Wars week is here! The schedule this weekend will go like this:

Friday, 7 December
7AM – Doors open. Open Practice till 11AM.
9AM – Check-in till 5PM
11AM – Controlled Practice by Class.
5PM – Check-in closes.
5PM – Seeding Round. Seeding based on top 3 consecutive laps. Must use marked tires and approved motor/gearing.
Closing Time TBD

Saturday, 8 December
7AM – Doors open. Open practice till 9AM.
9AM – Rounds 1-4 of Qualifying (Qual Points, best 2 of 4 count)
Closing Time TBD

Sunday, 9 December
7AM – Doors open. Open practice
8AM - Mains Start (Triple Mains for A, B, etc.)

few updates

this weekend ( Dec 22. ) Clayton will open and run the races for those that cant go without racing on Xmas weekend

USGT-
This past weekend we tested some options for USGT.
Since you All have a motor already, and we know that January ? February brings either new motors or new rules, we are in a bit of a spot... some may agree some may not … but my intention is to not increase costs for folks at this time , as well as I don't want to fragment the class either, it is sort of our core class...
So here we go ..
the motor you have for USGT ( all legal of course ) will continue to be used just like we have done up to this point this year... how ever , we will run a " Max FDR " or Min FDR , however you relate to FDR,
that will be 4.2

you can run 4.3, or 4.4, or any combination of smaller pinion bigger spur... but please don't run below 4.2

Guys this weekend were in the 4.214 neighborhood.

4.2 it is for USGT

when folks travel in for the bigger remaining races this year, ( SlowBirds and Neighborhood Nationals ) we know they will have motors on hand and we can help them get to 4.2

I have heard most of the perspectives and potential ripple effects of the 4.2 rule, and those were weighed carefully.
