hi nitrodash,

I just looked at the Contact tires available on the Schumacher site and it does not appear that they have the compounds available that you'd want for RCCW. I'm not sure if that's just because Schumacher doesn't carry them or what. Anyway, you'll want something similar to a Lilac or "Team Purple" front with a Blue rear as a safe starting point. I don't know what brands of 1/12 the hobby shop carries, but BSR & CRC have these compounds available.

Lilac/Team Purple is a 37 shore natural rubber. Blue is the new Japanese foam and I'm not sure what the shore is, maybe 30-35, but what's important is that it's the new japanese foam.

Just picked up a WGT car and have the foams and the new CRC Rubber tires as well.

Also, for the foams, what are people starting them at size wise?

Wgt is 13.5 1s at RCCW?

Any thoughts for trying the WGT 17.5 w/rubber tires?

Yes its 13.5 and 1 cell and welcome to the world gt class buddy.
I Cut the tires A little over 52mm all around..so that i can Get some practice laps in..and as far as rubber tire we don't do rubber here just foam...rubber tire will damage the class, they make the cars inconsistent just like it did with the f1's...
With foam you bring out the full potential of the cars.

I remember when they said that about touring cars.

People learned setup and all was right again.

TCS rules with open tire for club races and full TCS rules for trophy/big races.

You talking orange and apples my friend.. Tc is a 4 wheel suspension class. Pan cars are are not, they are different. Look what happend to the f1 foam class, once they went rubber not many people run them. I use to be a hardcore f1( foam car ) racer and once they change to rubber it killed the class. Those people that ran both will tell you that foam tire cars like f103's and f104's will out perform the f103's and104's on rubber...the same thing will eventually happens to the wgt's.

They are some thing better left alone like 12 scale's and Wgt's. Just my two cents.
