Hi eR1c, If that's your plan I'd wait a little (a few weeks), Carisma and NRC projects are releasing a combo package soon with both kits together (the 4Y-24 base car and Y24 conversion kit).
There will be a discount on the 2 kits together, so will be a cheaper way to do it (plus save on shipping 2x).
Thanks, Nigel.
Heck Ya!
I had hoped for this... It is too expensive to purchase the NRC kit from the UK w/ taxes, shipping and the conversion from US dollar.
Looking forward to seeing what they offer!!
thanks for the info-

The Hyundai was shown about 2 years ago. Was to be a limited number of them. But could never find it available. That Subaru does look good.

-I remember that, I think it was mostly sold in the UK.

Tough choice, ...I def' like the Subaru but that Hyundai is pretty nice looking too.
Maybe there will be a discount if you buy both?

It’s was supposed to be a limited to 100. Think had to be part of Facebook then I wasn’t at that time.

That would be nice. But doubt it. Wondering if these bodies will be available clear. Or is it part of licensing deal that they can only be sold with car.

Hpi had that with the Ken Block WR8. They couldn’t not sell the complete body alone. Only as clear, if you could find one back then

Well, while I’m waiting for my MiniZ track order to be shipped. Figured I’d get the Carisma off the shelf.

..nice video!
I saw that the mini Subaru went on sale, ...w/ shipping its $150 and not sure if they ad tax too, which would bring it to around $165ish ...even at $150 its a bit more than I want to spend. I can get a new GT14B in kit form for a lot less.

Picked up the Subaru just a couple hours ago! Ended up a bit too expensive cause it got caught in the customs. 150 usd = 140eur + 32eur VAT. Had a hard time choosing between this and the i20 but this became available first so couldn't wait. I feel like it's quite a bit different from the rally and buggy. Really short A arms, under 1cm of travel. Spare parts list has gt24i20 specific parts like shocks and suspension arms. I hoped it would be easier to convert to buggy / nrc buggy. Still at work so haven't driven it yet. Battery is 7.2v nimh, charging from my power bank.

Got the Subaru today! Ended up a bit too expensive imo. I'm somewhat impressed and somewhat disappointed.. Thought it would be similar to gt24b and gt24r. It's got a specific set of A arms, shocks etc. Way shorter than the buggy and rally pics look. Suspension travel I feel like is under 1cm. Confirmed in the spare parts list. Some have a GT24i20 designation.

Long long delay going from throttle to reverse and vice versa. Anything to do to make it better? Comes with a 7.2v 130mah nimh and a charger.

And wait, it gets worse! Slipped on the stairs after the first battery and broke the rear body posts...
What a rollercoaster of a day.

Interesting. The rally body does seem large compared to the Hyundi and Subaru based of pictures.

A 2s Lipo will end that delay to reverse. I’ve only run 1s and 2s in mine. I missed that they were now including a nimh battery.

Which lipos do you recommend? I think I'll get both 1s and 2s. Which charger to get? Only got the usb one for the nimh and it is slooow, would like something faster. The battery is 130mah and the charger only 100ma so long recharge and quick discharge..

My previous new rc car was 10 years ago, a kyosho mini z monster with a hummer body. Also had a used FG 1/6 monster beetle for a while, 26cc 2 stroke
