It's actually about the same speed. The sensors are the big gain due to throttle control.

I've heard the Spektrum A5040 servo is a good option. Pretty sure it drops in with no mods.

I just bought the upgraded metal gear servo from thumbs rc for when the stock one breaks. It was $12.

Default Video of LC Racing EMB-TGH Truggy

This footage recorded on August 8th, 2016 is an LC Racing EMB-TGH Truggy running on a track I built for 1/14th scale.

The vehicle is essentially stock (including all suspension settings at the moment) except for the following changes:
1) ESC is M.M.P. by Castle
2) receiver so I can use my own transmitter
3) battery tray was replaced with pure-tech Velcro.

In this video a 35C 2S battery is used. Track is clay/sand mix, left naturally dry during this run since rain was on the way by the end of the evening. Dry makes for some fun power slides though.

This is raw footage for now, though I'll start working on producing minimalist edited videos that get right to the action, or show all the best (minus all the turtle time.)

I have never had the Batan MG servo fail. They are great quality.

We run Contac touring car tires. They work great. They run 7 to 9 bucks a set.

I would use any of the clay tires that are made. I ran Panther Rattlers on my buggy before I switched to foams.

as the picture above... i run yellow rally blocks on front and yellow minipins on rear with schumacher inserts.
I found that normal low profile inserts are no good for schumacher tires as they arent thick enough. ONLY use schumacher inserts with schumacher rally/minipins.

if you want truggy size tires then try the yellow minipin2 as they are a softer compound than the old minipin so should wear down and lose thier bite quicker

ran my truggy last night with a stock TLR22 wing... i started with it untrimmed for max downforce and it was a little pushy so trimmed it down about 1/4"..BIG mistake! car was then back to its rear end snapping ways. so ive packed the rear screw holes with 3mm washers to angle the wing up and that was much better.
BIg fail was the losi balls studs and RPM cups...they popped off TWICE...grrr i thought these were supposed to be better? the losi ball studs didnt seem to be any tighter at all than the LC ones
