Does your KB version come with normal sticky rubber tires or slick drift tires?
Thanks. It came with a rubber tire. I was hoping to get a drift set, but apparently the KB version is not considered "drift", where the Mustang version is specifically drift. Right now, there does not seem to be a lot of parts available. As soon as I can find them, I'll get drift tires.

Default Size comparison HPI Micro RS4 vrs Carisma GT4

The size between the two are quite different but if I mate the HPI Micro RS4 with the same brushless setup using a big block conversion, I believe the Micro RS4 will haul big time and drift superbly.

What car is that touring car? Carisma? What size? 1/16 or 1/14?

I believe the Carisma touring cars are 1/14th scale. With the Dynamite mini brushless system from the Vaterra and Kalerhari, the cars are excellent drifters and they are super fast.

As far as wheels and mounts go for the Carisma vehicles, the wheels fit into the bearings of the front and rear hubs and they look like a triangle. I will include some detail closeups later this evening.

You should have no problem finding the drift tires... That's the only part that's everywhere. Its the rubber tires that are hard to find. I think the tires that came on yours have a new number... not sure what compound they are.

It took me a while to warm up to this car... think it sat in the box for a year before I used it. ... Now we have a blast racing these.

Does anyone know if the standard plastic front differential gears are available anywhere? Mine finally stripped out and I don't have replacement parts; I've found out the just how hard the front one-way tears into driveshafts so would prefer to run a gear diff, but don't recall if anyone else made front diffs.

Edit: took a picture this evening. Penguin 3500LM chassis, Mamba25, rear ball differential, green front springs, thick grease in front diff, medium tires all around, Honda NSX body with the formed plastic wing, metal-geared micro Hitec servo.

I have the new drift version. It has locked front and rear diffs! If I ever race it I'll need diffs. It looks like you can still get GPM rear ball diffs but like the posts just above me I'll need something for the front.

Has anyone found a good source of grip tires for these?

I have the new drift version and so far I'm not really impressed. It definitely needs more power so an upgrade will be in the works
