Finally i see something i like! When mine's die... for sure i will got in that direction!

The desperados rim are all alike? i mean is there versions of if, with offset? Or just one offset?

As for stress, just install the losi upgrades outdrives and cvd's and ceramic bearing and up you go with a smile!

-1/10 on road Rims and tires for 1/10 buggys

-1/10 Rally tires for Kysoho DRX tires/rims combo. Rims will rub but with a little sand or getto workout they will be fine!

Default Mini 8ight

Is it safe to assume any 12mm hex 1/10 touring wheel with 3mm or MORE offset will work for the Losi Mini 8ight?

Thanks in advance

true statement. HPI seem to have the best selection that i've found. 1/10 scale touring / 12mm hex / 3-9mm offset / 26mm is what you're after.

i've had great luck with their tires as well.

Thanks so much. I am having a really hard time finding reasonably priced alternatives. I have some old HPI RS4 foams I wanted to run but I think they were 0 offset because the car literally wouldn't move.

i've ran 0 offset rims in the past. what i did was remove the wheel hex and pin and add washers between the outboard bearing and pin to take up the slop, thus moving the hex outward when installed creating the required offset. it actually helped the car track better by removing the slop so i left the spacers in even with 3mm offset wheels. if you pull a wheel and the hex off and pull back and forth on the axle, you will see what i mean. there's a ton of slop.

so basically:

wheel bearing / 2 or 3 thin washers / pin / hex / wheel.

these are very cheap 0 offset wheels and tires i got off hobbyking. HPI tires are so much nicer though and grip 100X better. the radials and belted tires are amazing on asphalt and they have some great offroad tires as well.

you can see how tight the fit is, but they did clear after the spacing.

Thumbs up

Nice Ride, I like the read accents.

I will definitely give that a go. I remember my Nitro RS4 would just stick to the road with foams. Have you found any cheap alternatives that would work?

Foams on asphalt are sweet and surprising last a long time.

The Toyz has recently added a lot of wheel/tire options.

Thanks Skiboblitch. I was emailing their support and the guy was telling me their web site was jacked up. He actually could NOT tell me what tires and rims worked with the mini 8ight. Seemed like I was getting India or something. srootster was super helpful by confirming the size/offset. I am rocking now.

Last year I sold a set of these to a Mini-8 racer at my track and he was very happy with them. They are 1/10th Touring car foam tires. I will be using them myself. You can find foam touring car tires many places, at a LHS, eBay, other online sellers. I've got more and could sell you a set at a good price if you PM me.
