Hey Cain,

I saw that you were testing out some gaskets not too long ago, how did it go? I’m searching for some because I keep loosing fluid. Thanks!

Had a stock servo die last week, Batan D115F. Replaced it with the metal gear D135F and can't get the stock servo horn on it. Looks like the same dimensions, but I can't get it on for the life of me. Do I need the metal LC servo horn in order to get a fit?

After coming from racing quadcopters I recently bought an EMB-1H buggy as my first 'serious' buggy other than my Typhon which seems more like a basher, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. It's tough as nails and compared to the WLtoys stuff I got, there's no competition. Also feel that it's better than the Reflex 14B I have. I had so much fun with it that I purchased a LC12B1 kit a few days ago as a step up. I can keep up with some 1/10's at the local track with the 1/14.

I started having issues with the grub screw on the rear end of the center drive shaft "cup" that connects to the slipper clutch. It keeps coming out within a few minutes of using it. Nothing looks bent enough for concern, nothing sounds bad, but that grub screw falls out and then that cup starts slipping around the slipper. I tried some blue loctite as well. Anyone know what the issue could be or what I could check?

One more question ....does the Truggy version of the EMB 1/14 have a higher ride height than the buggy? I saw it has the 1/10 wheels? I kind of want the Truggy just to bash around a mowed field and not get caught on everything.

It hsould fit you may have to press it into place as the metal gears may be slightly thicker. The D135F servo works well for the price, but will eventually fail too. You do get more servo options if you mount up the floating servo mount they offer, or if you can fit it, put a low profile 1/10 servo in there and rig up the horn to work with the steering linkages. buddy of mine tapped the horn post on the steering rack so use ballstuds on my primary car.

Default New 540 motor mount

Hi.
I'm looking to design a motor mount for a 540 motor that will slide in to place like the original. Has this already been done?

I have that one. It doesn't quite line up with the lc racing truggy. Bearing is at a different height, overall height is to much, and the mounting holes on the bottom are out of place

Here is a rough hand drawing of how it could work...

Gear mesh is set on the motor face plate in this design. It would take one long screw through the whole plate to make use of the stock drive shaft bearing holder thingy. I know. I use a lot of technical terms... Lol

No pics... I will make some posts then come back and edit this with pictures... 😅

No sir, those are a few millimeters to tall, and the bearing chase is a bit off.

Shaving a millimeter off the bottom lines up bearing chase in hieght, but its holes are still off, and the motor would be driven through the chassis.

I'm thinking of making an insert, similar to the stock one, only with a 540 bolt pattern.

On another note, I realize the cheap aliexpress dog bones are soft, but wouldn't it be pretty easy to heat them up and quench them? You know, temper them? Wouldn't they be much stronger after that?
Does anybody know of a ball differential 48p 58 tooth that might be modified for use in the 12 scale? 😁 Have fun!!! 😊

I'm surprised there's not a sticky, with a list of some of the obscure parts newcomers didn't know they needed like shims.

Swapped in an LC2850 in place of the Tenshock...the LC has waaaaaay more torque. Much better
