Default Mini 8ight wish list, maybe?

Hope all are well. I am new to this forum and somewhat new to the go fast stuff, so if I am missing how things work please forgive.

I just picked up a mini 8ight used from a guy. So far my impressions are that the similar priced mini crawler is a pile of crap compared to the quality of this thing. I have yet to play with setup on it but one thing I am wondering is are we going to be wanting a center diff for this beast? Is one going to be available? If not I wonder if the traxxas 16th scale diff would work for us. Again this is assuming that a center diff is critical to race on a track and I have not done that yet. Outside that this car looks really quality, and there are not many mods I would want to throw at this. Am I missing something?

been piling on the race laps with mine and I've never felt the need for a centre diff, I race on rug anyway but I think any benefit on dirt would be killed of by changing the weight dist' and re-siting the the current components. The factory guys on this side of the pond change the ESC, run liPos, swap the tyres and thats its. I'm yet to try the option hinge pins set but I'm not hearing any OMG rumours that its worth X seconds per lap for those...

Good points on the diff. I am excited to get mine on the track, as I have not done that yet. I have seen a few at the 10th scale track close by and they are really impressive. Although I would love to stick a mamba micro in mine I am not sure I am unhappy with the performance of the stock esc so far. Holds up fine in the front yard.
