Micro Desert questions, help needed
I got my son a Losi Micro Desert for X-mas and he loves it but....
.....the run time is just to short !!!
Questions:
Is there a Non-Losi battery that is cheaper than a Losi and will last longer?
Would something like this work with the stock electronics??? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=10915
With the stock electronics do I have to go with a Non-Lipo battery???
What if I did the battery in the link above and an Atomic motor?
Thanks all for your help!!!

is known to fit in the micro desert. I plan on ordering a couple to see how they do. Just make sure you have a lipo charger that can charge it with the correct connector. I would charge at 0.1 amps to be on the safe side. Should take a little over an hour to charge.
edit: link doesnt seem to work. I will see if I can find it by searching.

Will the lipo battery work with the stock electronics?

It should since losi claims their 2s will. But I would keep an eye on the motor. Even on the stock pack mine gets up to 140 degrees. But I think I have the biggest pinion out of the set in mine. Put the smallest in and a lipo and it should stay coolish and have a lot more speed. As for run time, I would say about 6-8 min is what I get out of my stock battery depending on how fast I drive.
