See you there Carl. Spoke to Rob and he's pretty stoked about it.

Rob has been a big help, he , Ron, Dave and Roland have all stepped up to make the Dirt Bowl a really cool place to race.

This year is going to be great with all the new features at the Bowl, and with all the new minis that are coming out (Losi, Hpi, Assc.). Plus with how tight everybody's $ are right now the Dirt Bowl is a pretty good deal. The cars don't cost an arm and a leg and you can't race for any cheaper any place else.

What were the popular classes last year? I'm thinking about picking up a mini to get some practice in over the winter. I drove Rob's Revo, which just seemed silly to me, that thing is rediculously powerful! I'm thinking maybe an RC18B2 or something like that. Just curious what the "trend" has been. Maybe just a good old fashioned mini-T?

Over the summer most people had mini-revos and mini-Ts. Carl has some custom concoction and I have a RC18, one guy had a Losi Desert Buggy. Rob said that some people will probably have Vendettas. I'm considering getting a Losi Desert Truck myself so that I can run 2wd and 4wd but that depends on how Carl divides the classes.

Take 275 to Montgomery Rd.
Go North on Montgomery to Kemper
Turn left on Kemper and go approx 2 miles.
Is on right, there will be 2-3 blue metal garages behind a white house.
7300 Kemper is the address.

Hmmm, the E-Revos seemed way to quick to me and Mini-Ts never really jazzed me... guess I'll sleep on it and decide what to get.

I don't think you have much choice if you're going to run 2wd. Losi is the only 2wd that I know of. Duratrax, Associated, Kyosho, HPI and X-Ray are all 4wd.

AMorgan the Dirt Bowl is just about perfect for the small to mini classes. The Revos don't get crazy and the Mini-Ts will surprise you at how well they run. The racers at the Bowl are fast, so if you want a place to get some practice and not go broke, the Dirt Bowl is your spot. These guys rip and the track is tight enough so you are always still in it. Bring your A Game though, there will be lots of guys who could win on any given night. The racing is intense. You learn how to be smooth and race in traffic. We run 10min mains in the expert classes and always have bump-ups.

Come check it out, it's a FUN place to race!

Shannon... I'm not sure if you added to your post or if I just didn't read through it all yesterday, but I completely forgot the mini DTs. That may be the one for me to go with. I have so many other projects, I think I could keep that cheap and get some good practice in.

Yeah, if there aren't enough 4WD racers then that's what I'm getting. I just wish they sold it without their crappy radio and electronics.

Would I run my Vendetta SC with the 1/18 class or the Slash class?
