Right - out of hand quickly. Soon after I suggested that I thought bad idea - It's probably best to keep politics & RC far apart! ...keep it fun.

I can't say I've experienced any one brand that's far better or worse across the board than the others either. ...In Lipos anyway. Other chemistry types for sure tho. LiMn comes to mind - I keep away from those now, too many puffed.

Battery technology reportedly has a long way to go. I keep hoping GE will develop/release their salt based cells and they will be good for us R/C'ers and cheap too. ... someday.

Yes there is literally tons of new battery chemistry showing up daily it seems. I saw some lithium air batts not long ago that use ambient air to help make power. Cant wait to strap a blower on my battery!
