Why the 7.4V lipo limit in the open classes? I was planning on running Open Micro touring, but I have always used an 11.1V pack.

Open should be open to any amount of power.

W epushed it back because it was on the same date as Tony Stewarts big dirt oval race. Billy Fisher is going to come and bring some of the big oval guys with him to race oval at our place because we moved the date....

Oh wow...

Didn't even realize the date change till now. Looks like I may be reading about this race on Monday rather than experiencing it first hand

Thanx Berm, I didn't even notice that. Not sure about getting up early, but going to bed late might be the ticket.
I'm already gettin all amped up trying to decide what classes to run. I'll change my mind 60-70 times between now and then, but I've always got the Vintage Nats coming up next month in good ole CT (RCHR in Waterbury) to tide me over.
Any chance you'll be venturing this way for some vintage action Berm?

Any news on this issue? I don't see why brushless handout motors would be used with almost the same voltage as the mod guys.

sorry for sounding like an idiot if i do, and i know that i will, but is this something that an amatuer can simply show up at and enter, or do you have to qualify, be invited, or register, not that i would go, but this is within driving range, and down the road id like to race in the 1/18 offroad

the only reason i can think of is that they want to give the guys running brushed/cells a chance since they were seperate classes last year (they werent for trucks), although i do think 3s should be allowed, since the guys who are smart will end up being as fast as each other in the end.

also 1 last question for madness, why 6 cell stock? is it just that the handout motors are that slow? we ran 5c last year, as does the majority of stock classes (our MRL will run 5c stock this year, probably the biggest non nats micro racing).
